Came back from class and crashed for 2-2.5 hours. It was very nice! Dropped a class to I would have more time to do everything I'm trying to do in a day too, and that's already helping a lot even though this is the first day since I've dropped it

Apparently has an offline draft app where I can add players to teams as we draft, and then import all of the teams at the end. I'm going to try to do that, but as a warning, I won't be able to change points or scoring systems after I start- Is everyone ok with that?

Good with me. I figure most folks have taken the scoring into consideration for their first couple picks.

Here are a few scoring categories I am thinking of adding:

Shutouts: +3
Wild Pitches: -1
Balks: -1
Errors: -1

Also debating adding points for the following categories:

Complete Games
Grand Slam (would only be 1 additional point since it is already a lot of points with total bases, RBIs, and run scored)
Other misc fielding categories (double plays turned, outfield assists, etc)

Any thoughts on the matter?

[3,3] Krispy Kreme 2012: Masahiro Tanaka (SP)

Probably should've and could've waited a round but can't take the risk

Pm sent

I'm fine with all of these except wild pitches. It's only a big deal if a run is allowed and a point is already lost when that occurs.

Like the defensive categories added. Gets my personal vote of approval.

Tanaka could be a solid pick if he bounces back from injury strong, or he could be a huge hit to your team if he struggles and/or has more issues with injuries. However, if he can pitch like he did for the first part of the year last year for the next 5+ years... You just added a huge weapon. Either way, one thing is for sure: Halbert would be proud

I wouldn't change any points now. All my lists are based off of the point system already in there. We're already in round 3 -- shouldn't change points now...

Cool, I will think about adding in the following changes:

Shutouts: +3
Errors: -1
Balks: -1

As for fielding, I would like it to come into play, but I'm not sure how to do it with the given categories. If we do assists, putouts, etc, first basemen will end each game with 10+ points. I'm thinking of just adding +1 points for double plays turned, and +1 for outfield assists- Does that sound good? That way, we'll get some more points for defense (we still have errors as -1 too), and it gives outfielders a chance to earn some points as well

I agree....

Everyone I drafted was based on the scoring system that was in place.

That was my only concern. I don't think it would make too much of an impact if we added a couple categories, seeing as teams only have 3 or 4 players, but it is a valid point

Is everyone on board if the only change I make is errors give -1 point? To be honest, I thought that was already in the system, and I'd like for fielding to have some sort of impact. That being said, if we are opposed to any changes, I won't make any

We're 2 rounds in and I haven't taken a pitcher yet. I was fine with that but now if were adding a stat category that would benefit a pitcher 3 more points if they got a shut out I would have drafted one in the first 2 rounds and got one of the elite pitchers.

Also wouldn't have drafted Rendon that high if I knew he would be penalized for errors.

Cardinal rule of fantasy baseball -- you cannot change stat categories/points after draft has started. It's your league, and I'll go along with whatever, but I vote no changes.

No changes will be made. I know the unwritten rule of not changing anything after the draft had started (I even mentioned it right before we started the draft), but I thought a minor change or two wouldn't make too big of a difference and I would have made the change if everyone was on board. Obviously, that isn't the case, so the scoring will stay the way it is
