I don't like autopicks either. As much as I like Skip, I was not happy when he autopicked Andruw Jones for D2R.

I'm fine with waiting, but I will be upset if he takes my pick because it's past 12 hours and if we aren't skipping after 12 hours now, then everyone else maybe upset if they were skipped and in this case the rule wasn't enforced.

I PMed him and told him that he has 1 more hour to make his pick before we are moving on. If he doesn't pick before noon central, 7jacfire, you are free to make your double pick. Then I will give D2R the first available player with the highest average draft position for his first pick, and leave his second pick for him to deal with whenever he returns. Sound good?

Using my highest ADP idea I like it, sounds good

That's the way an autopick would work if we were in a draft lobby. I'll only do this for the first of his 2 picks tho, he will have to come back and make his second pick on his own

I know, I said that's how a draft lobby would work before. Although what if someone like Victor Martinez is the highest ADP'd player? I don't really want to see someone stuck with Martinez this early because of an auto pick

I'm not trying to bend the rules, I'm just really trying to avoid having any skips this early on. Especially since the last pick was at 8:20, most of the 12 hours were used up overnight. We'll get more stringent on the 12 hour clock as we get deeper into the draft, but missing some picks this early could really hurt your team, especially if we get a bunch of picks after the skip

I'll look it up, but I doubt VMart has the highest available ADP right now. But good point, we'll discuss it if need be when we get there

Let's wait for D2R. This is a Dynasty league where we are drafting players we want to have for years. I don't mind waiting extra because we have SO much time before the season starts. I want it to go fast, but I'd rather wait and let everyone be happy with their teams. The worst thing in a Dynasty league is to have people who don't like their teams and drop out, or just give up. Let's take our time and pick teams we like so we are all in for the long haul.

That's exactly why I'd really like to wait. But, if nobody else wants to wait, I don't want to hold it up, especially this early in the draft. It would be different if we were in round 10+
