Reggie: I agree on the Throwback Threads. I'm generally not a fan of unlicensed products (tend to totally ignore them). This would be the exception that proves the rule. It's pretty darn cool to have a game used jersey swatch from Trout's high school uniform!

The Purple Sterling auto was also a huge get for me. It was originally supposed to be listed by PWCC a few months ago (auction #9), and it mysteriously vanished from the website the day the auction was supposed to go live (at the time they had a preview page for the upcoming auction, but they seem to have taken that down now). I contacted them about it at the time to find out what had happened, and was told the consignor wanted to send it back to have the auto graded as well, and it would be in auction #10. This did not happen, so I just assumed the card was pulled entirely. So, you can imagine my surprise when it finally surfaced in the latest round of auctions! The auto still ungraded, I think they might have done me a favor by pushing the auction even further into the offseason. The card is PSA 10 Pop 1 (and there are only 10 purple autos to begin with). And...to add another wrinkle, I had originally tried to work a deal with the PREVIOUS owner when it had been listed raw back in April. It sold at the time for less than half of what I ultimately ended up paying for it. I'm just happy to have it, though!

On a serious note, what would a nongraded one run? Are the short printed? Is there a refractor? I checked eBay but it looks like the green finest auto is the only one I can find

Ah ha! Now I see why I lost the auction on that 2013 Finest ‘93. Well done sir!

It worked out though. Another one got overlooked about a week earlier and didn’t sell. I worked out a deal with the seller and it arrived today.

Sorry, I don’t know. I have seen ‘93, ‘94,and ‘95 (though others may also exist). There’s also at least one Refractor (‘94, limited to 25 IIRC)

Here’s all 3 refractors, all /25. 2016 had Finest Intimidators, which had /25 oranges, /5 red and 1/1s...but the base were all refractors by default.

These came in the mail today! This is my second 2009 Bowman Sterling Trout and I am not big on duplicates but I got this one at a really great price.

Neat story on the Real One Red Auto. I was working on a deal for this one and haggled over $100 and I lost the card as a buyer swooped in with a BIN purchase. Fast forward a few weeks and that buyer is now selling the card but it is marked up $800 more than the BIN he bought it for. I worked with the seller for weeks and could not come to an agreement. I noticed over the last few weeks, the seller was lowering the BIN now every few days. I sent him an offer we were both happy with and finally got the card.
