Glad I checked here, I don't think I got an email for the new set. Just ordered.

Surprised to get Week 3 the day after Week 2 -- lucky to pull the Yoda variation:

Congrats on the Yoda, and beyond that, for already having 75% of the first set.
Living here at the edge of the world (sorry, Hawaii), I've yet to receive Week 1.

Two days ago I cleared my driveway for the sixth? time this year, the snow banks are taller than me now. It's supposed to snow today and tomorrow. But yeah, I have 50% of the first set so ... silver lining?

New set is up: https://www.topps.com/cards-collecti...-baseball.html

Loving 1984!

I missed any SPs or parallels in my five of 1952 #2 and my five of #3. Oh well, so happy with #1 it don't matter

I'm glad you guys are enjoying these. Hopefully sales are decent enough that they'll keep getting creative with Star Wars.

Those '77s (and '78s) are a natural for this retro set being the Topps baseball cards that were on the shelf at the liquor store right next to the original Topps Star Wars cards.

I'd love them to use the Wonder Bread design for one of these sets, or even the Sugar Free Gum Wrappers design.

Here's some Mandalorian cards made in the style of Wonder Bread cards, for example:

Concept Cards (stylized as "cncpt crdz" or something like that), a small Etsy-like concern that would make small batch runs of Star Wars related cards like these. They also made some mini-card sets featuring the packaging designs from vintage G.I. Joe and Star Wars action figures, pretty cool stuff, especially since all the cards came in wax wrappers that wouldn't look out of place on a late 70's/early 80's store shelf.

They got my attention when they did a reprint of the Star Wars Wonder Bread set, but expanded on it by including characters that weren't included among the original 16 cards. It was a total of 3 packs with 9 cards each for a 27 card set. I skipped pack #1 because it had cards 1-9 which I didn't need because I have the original cards. I wish I hadn't because these new editions looked fantastic, sharper, and clearer than the original. A comparison, with the originals on the right:

I got pack #2 just to get cards #17 & #18 (Owen and Beru). This picture shows those two cards with the other 7 being originals, so they match really well.

Pack #3 was the real winner, with all 9 of the cards being new.

They did the same 3 pack thing with Mandalorian which, of course, were all new cards. Those came out great, too. Here's the rest:

^^^^ very cool! I tried looking them up, they've kinda fallen off the planet. Their Instagram hasn't had an update in nearly a year, and their Twitter is inactive. Bummer I missed out on these.

Dang… that’s tiny. Wonder if we get a big boost for Han Solo week or if people are getting burnt out with the weekly featuring “newer” templates (if 40 years old can be considered newer).

Not the greatest lineup but I do like the Kylo Ren card (even tho the character was disappointing in the movies).

Shut up and take my weekly $14.99. Topps might as well set up a deduction on my paycheck at this point.

LOL… that’s why I don’t want to commit to these. You love one week and then the roster gets a bit more random later on and you feel “stuck”. It’s a one packer week for me. Only one more week left!

I got lucky and hit a bronze /10 Mace Windu. I took some looking on eBay and was surprised almost no parallels from this series have sold, that I can find anyway. I saw some people mislabel it orange and not bronze.

And yeah I'm loving the series so far!
