It's almost like several of us said losing Jrue for Dame would end up doing bad things to the Bucks team. Yanis can only do so much.

I don't understand how this is Dame's fault when Dame didn't even play.

Brook got old, so did Khris and Beasley doesn't play much defense. They need to get a defensive wing at the deadline and move Beasley to the second unit.

Its so early in the season.

Bucks have a new coach who has never coached before. They have new players that need time to work together.

They will be fine come March.... as long as everyone is healthy

I loved the touch of subbing Nesmith in in the final 30 seconds BTW. It was not strictly Haliburton's defensive deficiencies. Yes the Pacers were only ahead three and needed a stop.... It was a little nod by coaching staff to crash that he helped earn the narrow victory, picking up five fouls and rolling his ankle (and playing through it for 10 minutes) in the process. I think when the story of the Pacers' success becomes more widely known, it will become clear that crash deployed strategic use of Celtics-style tough love (and Carsyle in the 80s probably knows the roots of this) in helping form a secondary that often, to be honest, outplays the starters.

Pacers can shoot the lights out. Nobody has ever denied this. As I said, they are the 2022 eastern conference Kings. Fish out of water in the postseason when defense ramps up and pace slows. They are no legitimate contender and I will wager every last buttcoin I own on that.

Nevertheless, Indy fans should enjoy the ride. A lot of nice young pieces to be excited about, and a far cry from where they were 2 seasons ago.

So I'll repeat a little thing I added above to respond:

"I think when the story of the Pacers' success becomes more widely known, it will become clear that crash deployed strategic use of Celtics-style tough love (and Carsyle in the 80s probably knows the roots of this) in helping form a secondary that often, to be honest, outplays the starters."

Yes the Pacers defense sucks at the start, always, when you have a high flying run-up the scoreboard offense and this is by design. Brown and Myles are the only legitimate defenders at this point, though Math is making strides.

But around end of the first, the secondary clamps down and either a) protects the lead, or b) claws back a few points, or c) gets the opponent so tired they can't think straight.

If an analytically minded member could either confirm this or shut me down, I apprish.

If based Kneesmith can average 40/12/9 off the pine with Rodman-level clamps, then they absolutely have a shot at hoisting the O'Brien this year.

Hopefully alopecia Jim Carrey will come to his senses and finally release the reigns.

Damn. At least Rodman is collected.

And it was never about "freeing" Nesmith, it was about giving agency to his intrinsic randomness, as an unquantifiable equation on the floor.

Only because of his strong North Korean clecter base.

Get the Un'ster on the crash caboose and you'll become BO's resident Rothschild.

I mean crash do as crash does. I am thinking of working with Panini to get a display of rookies on the upscale Noodle Haus wall.

I need someone to photoshop Lillard, Giannis, and Middleton onto The Three Amigos.

Overreact much? At least wait until the halfway point of the season to pat yourself on the back and thump your chest.
