Just saw a guy rip a FOTL box and not only did he get absolutely killed, he got shorted an auto and a FOTL shimmer. His one shimmer was OG and auto was shaeden sharpe. Best card was a Wemby base...just awful

Just watched the Packman FOTL opening. I am so out of the new release circuit, didn't realize the card has a flash of color in the silver border. Granted, same design ad naseum, but this is the best of the 20-24 run aesthetically. Go out at the apex of your limited-palette prizmatics Panini.

Also realized that 23-24 (like 21-22, except Prizm) is a no Nesmith year. This is so odd. I guess they weren't paying attention and thought Brown, Hield, and Toppin were gonna be keeping him in the deep rotation. Panini decider teams in September 2023 watched as little Pacers basketball as the rest of the world.

I realize these boxes are treated like lotto tickets, but man....I have seen 4-5 breaks so far of FOTL boxes and every box has a loss of $1500-$1800.

I guess someone in China pulled the Wemby black shimmer 1/1...

Ever since the price of Prizm boxes has gone nuclear, it's been one of the worst ROI products on the market for both football and basketball. Sure, it has huge upside, but with deep checklists and a million parallels, the downside risk is 90% on a box, or more. Odds of hitting a low numbered top rookie are astronomical.

This is like the worst news breakers could have and it won't even dent the money flow.

It's a great breaker's product.

Breakers can sell by teams/players (random/selected) and make easy money because people will always gamble for a big chase card regardless of the low statistical odds of hitting one.

The few who rip personal boxes either have the money to blow or simply don't know how to manage money.

That's not how it works. There's still other low-numbered parallels to hit. It's also a box supply matter too.

Don’t forget that psa 10 slabbed price for the best cards in the box are already priced in as well.

There are two other 1/1's of Wemby in the product, not including Fast Break

I'll argue that 2023 Prizm football and 23-24 Prizm basketball at release are better rips than pretty much any current 23 football or 23-24 basketball product at release price or current presale price. At least you can realistically hit a decent Wemby or Stroud card and do ok. Other products you have to hit a needle in a haystack to break even or come out ahead.

Would you rather open a 2023 Prizm football hobby box for $900 or an Illusions box for $500? Impeccable box for $1850? Immaculate box for $1750? Spectra for $1200? Prizm basketball hobby for $975 or Contenders for $400? Origins for $410? Crown Royale for $450? Im not saying that Prizm is a great price but compared to mostly everything else in basketball and football it is just about the best chance of the bad choices available. Prizm basketball and football are close to as good of ROI as there is with these classes.

Noticed this as well. No numbered Wemby's on eBay besides blaster pulsars and Monopoly parallels.

The checklist appears to indicate that Wemby should have standard numbered parallels.

It's troublesome because breakers on whatnot are doing breaks by color parallel too...

Yeah from the FOTL breaks I've personally seen two gold shimmers /10, one green shimmer /5, and the black shimmer.
