I’ve been on the 1792 kick as of late- the single barrel is one of best I drank this year. I also got me a full proof store pick-looking forward to cracking this one

Still haven’t popped the 1792 full proof but had a glass of the Elijah Craig barrel proof and man is it delicious. A little goes a long way.

Landed a bottle of Eagle Rare on Friday at local shop for $48.99, would only let me get 1 bottle though. I went back in a few hours later and it was all gone.

Also, I've tried a few bottles of the Sams Club Members Mark Bourbon bottled by Bardstown. Members Mark Tequila is really smooth so I figured I'd give it a shot $18.88. The first bottle wasn't bad, a little bite to it but not bad. The 2nd bottle had a little more bite/burn to it but over all for $18.88 not terrible and the price is right.

I went to a tasting event at a bar down the street from me on Friday for the full Redwood Empire lineup.

Core and Cask strength versions: Lost Monarch, Pipe Dream and Emerald Giant.
Bottled in Bond Series: Grizzly Beast and Rocket Top
And the three Limited Series: Foggy Burl, Devil's Tower and Screaming Titan

For the price point, I thought the Lost Monarch core version was very good. Under $40/bottle. The Pipe Dream was my favorite of the cask strengths.

But I thought the best was the Screaming Titan, the limited wheated bourbon.

I was lucky enough to win a raffle for the purchase rights of a limited bottle, but it was Devils Tower. It was my second favorite, so I bought it, plus there were only 25 barrels of it made.

It would be pretty cool if some of these distillers had the rights to produce a few sports cards.

I miss the days of cards that were only available with food or drink purchases.
